Graduated UC Davis with a B.S. in Neuroscience in 2012. Stayed in Davis for one more year continuing neuroscience research- amounting to four years total as an academic researcher. Soon after, jumped into a marketing position at textPlus, a texting and calling app with 70 million users. After one year, left textPlus to begin a passion project, a startup to help sufferers find therapists. Despite recruiting a team, this app did not go far because the UX design was unsatisfactory. Seeing the importance of UX, signed up for classes at UCLA and General Assembly and learned to create products. Surprisingly, discovered an immense love for UX. Freelanced in order to solidify fundamental skills and then subsequently joined ProduktZero. I then was recruited to work for a startup in the Philippines, where I led the mobile and web user experience.
I made the switch to product management, as I have an interest in the business and execution standpoint, where I am able to make the tradeoffs between tech, marketing, design and all aspects of the business. I worked locally for startups as a product manager and abroad in Dubai.
